Since 1972, Thurston County Food Bank has been committed to providing hunger relief to our community. Today we remain committed to our mission.

With humble beginnings in the basement of a local church in 1972, volunteers began the work. As the community needs have grown, so has our organization, now operating out of two main pantries and a 25,000-square-foot warehouse, distributing fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable foods to a network of hunger-relief agencies across four counties.

Our Satellite Food Distribution Network now spans 16 satellite locations, 15 mobile sites, and a home delivery program, giving our community increased access to food in convenient locations throughout the area. Additionally, we offer various programs that provide tailored support for children and seniors.

As we look toward the future, our vision is to create a Community Resource Hub where essential food and wraparound services come together under one roof, supporting individuals and families with the resources they need.

Together we can…

    • reach even more neighbors
    • expand our partnerships
    • increase our impact

Thank you for joining us in our mission. Together, we can accomplish so much!

"This program has helped me and my family very much. It has helped us pay off our dues and help us buy gas. And help us save a little bit of money for us to try to move out of our two bedroom with five kids. So my family has appreciation for what the FORKids Program has done. Thank you."
