SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF OLYMPIA'S (SIO'S) Vision is to help Women and Girls have resources and opportunities to help them reach their potential.  We are seeking $5,000.00 in financial support to help our educational award programs distribute 2 education awards, 2 technological awards, and tuition assistance for 10 at-risk middle school girls.  Our giving circle provides help to:

  1.  women head of household to pursue their educational goals to better provide for their families
  2.  assist teenagers pursuing education beyond high school with computers and other technology, and,
  3.  at-risk middle school girls with tuition assistance to participate in local programs helping to foster self-development and life skills training otherwise not available.

Our vision to help Women and Girls reach their highest potential requires partnerships with the community to connect essential links to educational opportunities and to receive the necessary funding to make it all possible.

Why give?  It shows people they are worthwhile and cared about.  It helps them over that barrier hindering progress.  Your gift matters!!

Our programs have helped some of our candidates achieve their educational goals in nursing, office management, teaching, child advocacy, counselor, and paralegal services.  These women and girls are proud to be able to move into society a better person, parent, and many of them say they are good role models for their children.

Below are some comments by Past Awardee's who shared that our education awards helped them during times of need, such as:

  • Chrystal, who now works as a para-educator, shared that winning our award was "surreal, that a group of women were cheering me on and made an incredible impact on my life".
  • Khrys, now working as a paralegal in the Attorney General's office says, "I was fortunate enough to have this group believe in me and give me the support I needed at a time I needed it the most".
  • A young participant who attended one of our youth workshops made possible by tuition assistance stated joyfully, "this is the first time I have felt seen".  How rewarding to see the impact made.
  • Sylvia, a mother with twin boys, both with moderate autism, shared that our award helped pay for childcare otherwise not affordable so as to not miss class.
  • Hannah, a high school senior, received multiple scholarships for college but did not have a computer.  Our technological award helped her purchase one and the necessary tools required.

We collaborate with local schools, charities, colleges, universities, and community groups to identify applicants for our awards.  Through these partnerships, we offer women and girls in the communities an opportunity to expand their horizons for growth and unlimited possibilities.  These improved opportunities have a direct impact on the community in positive ways.

PLEASE, Donate to our mission spsgives.org/organization/Soroptimist-Foundation-261 to help us build up communities of upward-bound citizens ready to engage in enhanced social networks and better-prepared youth to lead us into the future.

Together, we can empower women and girls, improve the lives of individuals and families, and help those who offer value to our communities but get hindered by roadblocks.

Your monetary gift, regardless of amount, can have an influence on someone's life, educational achievement, family development, and/or career.  Your generosity helps create strong communities that enriches us all.

OUR GOAL is to raise $5,000.00; this will allow us to distribute at least two education awards, 2 technological awards, and tuition assistance to at least 10 at-risk middle school youth.

Again, we urge you to partner with us with your donation.  We are also asking you to share our vision with others and pass our message along to encourage others to contribute by sharing this link with them, spsgives.org/organization/Soroptimist-Foundation-261

We THANK YOU in advance for your consideration and donation.
