Ballet Northwest

Ballet Northwest has received a $10,000 challenge match from Gary & Melissa Fox and the Fox Family Foundation so any donations to BNW will be doubled! Also, donors receive the opportunity to purchase premium seats held just for BNW donors.

Ballet Northwest, founded in 1970, is Washington's oldest ballet company!  Each year, BNW reaches over 10,000 audiences members at the Washington Center and other local theaters through its six major productions: The Nutcracker, Olympia Dance Festival, Puget Sound Dance Festival, Young Choreographers Showcase, spring production over Mother's Day weekend (The Sleeping Beauty in 2025), and a guest professional company. 

BNW's education and outreach programs have grown substantially in recent years to include:

*Free in-school dance residency program which provides free introductory dance classes to over 10,000 elementary school students in the Olympia, Tumwater, North Thurston, Yelm, Shelton and Steilacoom districts.

* Free ticket program in partnership with local social service organizations that provide over 500 tickets to local families.

* Over $25,000 in financial aid and scholarships to local dancers.

* Free master classes and seminars for local dancers with world-class instructors.
